Cindy Holland, the incoming head of streaming for the merged Paramount-Skydance, is making some significant changes by bringing on board two former colleagues, Jane Wiseman and Efrain Miron, for key management roles. These two individuals have a history of working with Holland at Netflix and production company Sister, and their expertise is expected to play a crucial role in the future success of the newly formed Paramount Skydance.

Holland, who will serve as the chair of direct-to-consumer for Paramount Skydance once the deal is finalized, has an impressive background. She previously held the position of Netflix’s VP of original content for 18 years before leaving in 2020. After her tenure at Netflix, she joined Sister as the global CEO in July 2023. However, she later transitioned to a senior adviser role at Skydance Media in anticipation of the Paramount merger.

With Holland’s arrival, Tom Ryan, the CEO of Paramount Streaming, will be departing from the company to make way for the new leadership team. Wiseman, who will be joining the new Paramount as the executive VP and head of originals for Paramount+, brings a wealth of experience to the table. She previously served as head of U.S. television at Sister, where she played a key role in developing and producing premium scripted series.

Prior to her time at Sister, Wiseman was instrumental in building Netflix’s original series team in 2014. During her tenure at Netflix, she helped launch popular series such as “Ozark,” “Narcos,” “Dead to Me,” and “Master of None.” Wiseman’s extensive experience in the industry positions her well to lead the development and production of original content for Paramount+.

Miron, the new executive VP and head of content strategy and licensing for direct-to-consumer at Paramount, also brings a wealth of experience to his role. Like Wiseman, Miron was one of the first employees at Netflix dedicated to the company’s original programming efforts. During his nine-year tenure at Netflix, he played a crucial role in overseeing business affairs for various divisions and negotiating deals for hit series like “The Crown.”

The addition of Miron and Wiseman to the Paramount Skydance team is part of a larger restructuring effort that includes several other executive appointments. These changes are aimed at propelling the company forward and reinvigorating its vision for the future. With the impending close of the Skydance-Paramount deal, the leadership team is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in the company’s history.

In conclusion, the Paramount Skydance merger is set to bring about significant changes in the streaming industry, and the appointment of key executives like Jane Wiseman and Efrain Miron highlights the company’s commitment to innovation and growth. As the deal nears completion, all eyes are on Paramount Skydance to see how these new leaders will shape the future of the company.
