The Qatar Film Committee, an official body under Media City Qatar, has recently partnered with a prominent media analytics company to open a regional office in Doha. This partnership aims to provide data-driven intelligence to Qatar’s growing film and TV industry, which is looking to expand and enhance its presence on the global stage.

Led by Hassan Al Thawadi, the Qatar Film Committee is focused on driving the growth of the country’s entertainment industry. With the support of the media analytics company, the Committee will integrate predictive analytics into their investment decisions, revolutionizing how content is selected, developed, and marketed. This move positions Qatar as the first country in the MENA region to adopt an end-to-end data-driven film financing strategy, raising the bar for national content investment.

The announcement of this partnership was made during the inaugural Doha Film Festival’s Industry Days, where several exciting developments were unveiled. These included the introduction of a regional production rebate offering up to 50% in cash, as well as production deals with top U.S. studios such as Neon, Miramax, and Sony. Additionally, a partnership with Hollywood’s Company 3 was announced to establish a post-production and VFX studio in Doha, further solidifying Qatar’s position in the global entertainment industry.

By leveraging Parrot Analytics’ global audience analytics, the Qatar Film Committee joins the ranks of major streaming platforms and studios like Disney, Amazon Prime Video, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Sony Pictures. This strategic partnership will not only enhance Qatar’s film and TV business but also position the country as a key player in the rapidly evolving media landscape.

Overall, the collaboration between the Qatar Film Committee and the media analytics company signifies a significant step towards elevating Qatar’s entertainment industry to new heights. With a focus on data-driven decision-making and strategic partnerships, Qatar is poised to make a mark on the international stage and establish itself as a hub for creativity and innovation in the film and TV sector.
