Chicago Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Robbery Suspects
Chicago police are reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying four suspects involved in a violent robbery at the North-Clybourn CTA station, located at 1599 North Clybourn, last week.
According to a community alert issued by CPD’s Mass Transit Detectives, the group targeted a passenger on the station’s escalator around 12:47 a.m. on July 12. The victim was assaulted and robbed of his wallet and cash. When he attempted to retrieve his belongings, one of the suspects brandished a gun.
CTA surveillance images of the suspects have been released by the police.
Suspect Descriptions:
- A Black male, aged 18–20, approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11, wearing a black stocking cap, black short-sleeve shirt, and black pants.
- A Black male, aged 18–20, around 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, dressed in a gray-green camouflage stocking cap, a black hoodie with one camouflage sleeve, and light-colored ripped jeans.
- A Black male, aged 16–18, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, wearing a black balaclava, black t-shirt, and light-colored jeans with a ripped knee.
- A White or Hispanic male with long dark hair, clad in a black t-shirt and light-colored jeans.
