Passion Pictures, a renowned animation company, is gearing up to celebrate its 20th year in business. In light of this milestone, Passion Paris, the company’s French satellite, has appointed Caroline Audebert as its new Managing Director. Audebert will be responsible for overseeing the future expansion of the company, including the opening of a new creative studio on Quai de Jemmapes. This bespoke space is tailored to accommodate Passion’s 2D series work, as well as its 3D and stop-motion production for shorts and series, allowing the Paris-based studios to broaden their production lineup.
Passion Paris recently released the animated short film “Moonlit Bamboo Forest” by David Pagaille and is currently working on several exciting projects, such as “Apocalypse Mojito” and the short film “Please” by Emmy-winning filmmaker Anna Mantzaris. Additionally, the company is in production on Season 4 of “LEGO Friends.”
Caroline Audebert brings a wealth of experience in the animation industry, having previously held positions at Ellipse Animation, Cybergroup Studios, BUG, Gaumont Animation, and Disney. In her new role, Audebert expressed her excitement, stating that she is looking forward to contributing new ideas and further strengthening the studio’s creative capabilities.
Outgoing Managing Director Marc Bodin-Joyeux will be assisting with the transition as Audebert takes on her new role. Bodin-Joyeux expressed confidence in Audebert’s abilities, citing her creativity, leadership, and passion for animation as valuable assets for Passion Paris. Founder of Passion Pictures, Andrew Ruhemann, praised the unique French appeal of Passion Paris and emphasized the importance of the Paris-based studio in tapping into France’s exceptional talent and creative culture.
