Twisted Pastor in Scotland Sexually Assaults Parishioners, Claims to Be Removing Demons
A disturbing case has emerged from Scotland, where a pastor known as “Daddy” to his congregants has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two women under the guise of exorcism. Walter Masocha, 61, preyed on his parishioners, claiming he was “removing demons” from their bodies to justify his heinous acts.
The first victim, a 58-year-old married woman, sought prayer from Masocha around 20 years ago. Instead, she was repeatedly groped and assaulted by the pastor, who told her that God had given her to him as a gift. The victim was ordered to kiss Masocha’s “holy lips,” a disturbing revelation that came to light during the trial at the High Court in Livingston.
Another woman, aged 39, testified that Masocha sexually assaulted her for over six years, starting when she was just 20 years old. The predatory pastor made advances towards her in his mansion, escalating to attempted rape in his bedroom. The woman managed to escape, but not before enduring traumatic experiences at the hands of the man she considered a father figure in the church.
During the trial, advocate depute Michael MacIntosh described Masocha as a predator who abused his power and position within the church. The victims were looking for spiritual guidance but instead found themselves being preyed upon by the pastor.
When confronted by the second victim’s husband, Masocha begged for forgiveness and admitted his wrongdoing. Despite his attempts to deny the allegations and accuse the victims of lying, Masocha was convicted of attempted rape, indecent assault, and sexual assault.
Justice Susan Craig condemned Masocha’s behavior as appalling and announced that he would be sentenced on July 28. The pastor, who was previously convicted of sexual assault in 2015, will now face the consequences of his actions and remain on the sex offender registry for life.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the abuse of trust and power that can occur within religious institutions. Masocha’s actions have caused irreparable harm to his victims and tarnished the reputation of the church he once led.
