At 7:38 p.m., northbound and southbound I-25 were shut down near exit 245 for Mead and Colorado 66. Multiple drivers experienced standstill traffic, with reports coming in via the Waze app, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. CDOT announced the reopening of the highway in both directions at 9:14 p.m.
The injured pedestrian was transported to the hospital, confirmed by the sheriff’s office on social media at 7:30 p.m.
