A shocking incident unfolded in Pennsylvania over the weekend, as a homeowner mistakenly shot an Instacart driver outside his house. The homeowner, Nicholas Sabo, 43, was arrested for shooting the delivery driver in the legs after confusing him for an intruder. The incident occurred in Newton Township, where Sabo’s home security camera detected movement near the garage.

According to Chief Paul Wolfe of the South Abington Police Department, the homeowner went outside and without engaging in any verbal confrontation, fired at the delivery driver. It was later revealed that Sabo’s wife had placed an order for groceries using Instacart without informing her husband. When the driver arrived to make the delivery, he set off an alert on Sabo’s home surveillance system, leading his wife to believe there was an attempted break-in.

Sabo, armed with a gun, confronted the driver and shot him in both legs with one bullet. The driver managed to run back to his car, where his wife and child were waiting, and drove a short distance before calling the police. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery, and is currently in stable condition.

Sabo was charged with recklessly endangering another person, but additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. This harrowing incident serves as a reminder of the importance of clear communication and cautious behavior in potentially dangerous situations.
