Director Kristen Robinson recently sold 47,835 shares of Planet Labs PBC (NYSE:PL) in an open-market transaction on Jan. 21, 2026, with an approximate total value of around $1.3 million. This sale was disclosed in a SEC Form 4 filing.

It is worth noting that this sale marks the first open-market transaction reported by Robinson for Planet Labs PBC. Previous Form 4 filings over the past two years only included administrative entries without any share disposals.

After the sale, Robinson still holds 37,107 shares in direct ownership and 222,897 shares in indirect ownership in the company.

Planet Labs PBC is a company that designs, builds, and operates satellite constellations to provide high-frequency geospatial data and analytics to sectors such as agriculture, mapping, finance, and government. With a workforce of over 800 employees and a strong satellite infrastructure, the company is a key player in the field of earth observation data.

The company leverages cloud-native technology to analyze satellite imagery and deliver actionable insights across various industries, including aerospace and defense.

The recent sale by Robinson comes at a time when Planet Labs’ stock has been performing exceptionally well. The company’s share prices surged by approximately 381% in 2025 and increased by 26% in January 2026. Despite operating at a net loss, investors remain optimistic about the company’s growth prospects.

In addition, Planet Labs recently announced a significant deal with Sweden’s Armed Forces to provide outer space data for safety and security operations, further solidifying its position for long-term growth.
