Netflix has recently dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated third and final season of the hit series “Squid Game.” The upcoming season will continue to follow the journey of Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, portrayed by Lee Jung-jae, as he fights to bring an end to the deadly game. The stakes are higher than ever as Gi-hun seeks revenge for the death of his best friend, Jung-bae, at the hands of the ruthless Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, in the previous season.

In the newly released trailer, Gi-hun is seen unraveling the truth behind the identity of the Front Man, who is revealed to be In-ho, the character who pretended to be a competitor and friend to Gi-hun in the second season. The tension escalates as Gi-hun confronts a group of guards, demanding answers as to why he was spared and allowed to live. The trailer sets the stage for an intense and gripping final showdown between Gi-hun and In-ho.

“Squid Game” made its debut on Netflix in September 2021 and quickly became a global phenomenon. The first season became the streaming platform’s second most-watched TV season of all time, with the second season following suit as the third most-watched after its premiere in December 2024. The show, created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, has garnered critical acclaim for its gripping storyline and compelling characters.

The cast of “Squid Game” includes talented actors such as Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yuri, Lee David, and Roh Jae-won, alongside Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun. The trailer for the final season was unveiled at Netflix’s annual fan event, Tudum, in Los Angeles, where cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim, and Choi Seung-hyun, also known as T.O.P, made a special appearance to the delight of fans.
