Chicago Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Elderly CTA Robbery Suspect
Chicago police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed an elderly CTA passenger walking with a cane inside a CTA Blue Line station in Wicker Park over the weekend.
According to a CPD report, the incident took place at around 8:25 a.m. on Saturday at the Division Blue Line station located at 1200 North Milwaukee Avenue. The robber exited the same train as the victim, approached him from behind, hit and pushed him, and forcibly took his wallet from his pants pocket. The victim, described as elderly, did not have his age disclosed in the report.
The suspect, who is being sought by Mass Transit Detectives, is described as a 30 to 40-year-old male with a thin mustache, standing between 5’8″ and six feet tall, and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black stocking hat, a dark jacket, a black shirt with a white “X” across the chest, ripped blue jeans, and black and white gym shoes.
