The Aurora Police Department has successfully identified the final three suspects in a widely circulated video showing six armed men forcibly entering an apartment unit within a local complex.

Surveillance footage from August 18 captured the group knocking on doors at an apartment building near 12th Avenue and Dallas Street, just before the tragic shooting of Oswaldo Jose Dabion Araujo, 25, in the 1200 block of Dallas Street that same night.

Although the recent announcement did not disclose the names of the three suspects or their specific charges, law enforcement is currently preparing two arrest warrants for submission to the Arapahoe District Court. Furthermore, investigators are actively pursuing the third suspect, with potential plans to issue an arrest warrant in the near future, as mentioned in the press release.

“While the investigation remains ongoing, we aim to provide the community with relevant updates to ensure the transparent dissemination of factual information as part of our commitment to public safety, transparency, and community service,” stated Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain.

Just last week, the department identified three individuals from the video: Naudi Lopez-Fernandez, Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, and Niefred Jose Serpa-Acosta.

Lopez-Fernandez, 21, is currently in police custody, while arrest warrants for first-degree burglary and menacing with a firearm have been issued for Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, and Serpa-Acosta, 20, as per the news release.

During a news conference on Friday, Chamberlain did not establish a connection between the suspects and any gang-related activities, including the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.

The ongoing investigation by Aurora police, known as Operation Safe Haven, urges individuals with any relevant information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Informants have the option to remain anonymous and may even be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
