Join us for a one-day event designed to enhance connections between artists and the nonprofit organizations that support them. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Open Studios/Open Fields is an engaging event organized by Pratt Fine Arts’ MFA program, set to take place at Dock 72 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. This event aims to intertwine artistic production with vital support networks. From 12 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, the public is welcome to tour MFA studios, interact with artists, and connect with organizations that are invested in fostering creative expression.
Open Studios invites attendees to witness ongoing work, converse with MFA artists in their environments, and explore a pop-up exhibition throughout the program’s gallery venues.
Open Fields: An Artist Resource Fair brings together various nonprofit organizations from NYC and beyond, which include residencies, grant-providing foundations, maker spaces, advocacy groups, and unique exhibition venues. Representatives will be present to provide resources, respond to inquiries, and dispense practical advice, supplemented by panel discussions addressing the sustainment of artistic careers and overall well-being.
Collectively, these elements create an immersive ecosystem that connects artists’ visions with the necessary support, funding, and organizations that facilitate their realization. Artists gain visibility and develop significant relationships; organizations interact with artists in their creative spaces, gaining insight into their processes and requirements; and community members experience the dynamic landscape of contemporary art and the support systems that uphold it.
Participating Organizations: Artadia • Center for Urban Pedagogy • Dieu Donné • Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts • The Fortune Society • Foundation for Contemporary Arts • The Laundromat Project • NARS Foundation • Project for Empty Space • Recess • Residency Unlimited • Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop • Silver Art Projects • Socrates Sculpture Park • Wassaic Project
Open Studios/Open Fields is free and open to the public, but registration via Eventbrite is required. This event is organized with cooperation and support from MoMA’s Public Engagement Department.
