In a landmark event held today in Davos, Switzerland, President Donald J. Trump officially ratified the Charter of the Board of Peace, marking its inception as a recognized international organization. As the Board’s Chairman, President Trump stood alongside Founding Members from various nations who have pledged to foster a secure and prosperous future for Gaza, aimed at achieving enduring peace, stability, and opportunities for its inhabitants.
This ceremony represents a significant stride in fulfilling President Trump’s vision of transforming Gaza from a territory long marred by strife and hopelessness into a bastion of opportunity, optimism, and vitality. The Board of Peace is positioned to mobilize global resources, ensure accountability, and oversee the execution of crucial next steps in demilitarization, governmental reforms, and extensive rebuilding efforts.
- President Trump: “This Board has the potential to become one of the most significant entities ever established, and it’s my tremendous honor to act as its Chairman… Today, we embark on the first steps toward a brighter future for the Middle East and a far safer world. Together, we are poised to finally end decades of suffering and generations of animosity, paving the way for a beautiful, enduring peace in the region.”
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “Our presence here today is a testament to President Trump’s vision. Just a few months ago, many believed the situation in Gaza was beyond reconciliation… No one envisioned a resolution without further conflict and bloodshed… But President Trump had the foresight and determination to dream the impossible, to believe it was achievable, and to pursue it wholeheartedly.”
- Chief Commissioner of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza Dr. Ali Sha’ath: “I would like to express my gratitude to President Donald J. Trump and his Administration for their tireless efforts to promote peace throughout the region… These initiatives have opened the door to a new future for Gaza, but the real challenge lies ahead.”
- High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov: “Who would have believed two years ago that we would be here today, surrounded by this coalition of nations, providing the people of Gaza with a renewed opportunity?… For far too long, Gazans, Palestinians, and Israelis have been trapped in a cycle of conflict, death, and destruction. Now, we turn a new page.”
- Special Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff: “We have secured a peace agreement in Gaza. We have successfully brought hostages home… And perhaps most critically, we have cultivated a sense of hope for the future of Gaza and other regions where the Board of Peace will be active. It is a privilege to have worked on this initiative on your behalf, Mr. President.”
- Jared Kushner: “For too long, 85% of Gaza’s GDP has relied on aid, which is not a sustainable model. This approach fails to bestow dignity and hope upon the people. We aim to apply free market principles akin to those President Trump has implemented in America — bringing the same mindset to Gaza to empower its people to thrive and lead fulfilling lives… If we maintain faith in the possibility of peace, we can indeed achieve it.”
