President Trump recently made a groundbreaking announcement regarding an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event set to take place at the White House in celebration of America’s 250th birthday next year.
During a speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Trump revealed that UFC president Dana White will be organizing a mixed martial arts fight on the White House grounds.
Trump emphasized the magnitude of the event, stating that it will be a “full fight” with an expected attendance of up to 25,000 spectators.
President Trump is no stranger to UFC events, having attended several in the past, including one hosted at his Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City back in 2001. His close relationship with White was evident when White introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention last year.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the President’s commitment to the event, stating on X that it will be nothing short of epic.
Trump highlighted that the UFC fight at the White House is just one of many festivities planned to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
He announced at the Des Moines rally that a series of special events will be held at national park battlefields and historic sites as part of the America250 celebrations.
Trump also revealed plans for a grand festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on July 4th, 2026, as the culmination of the America250 celebrations.
