Today, President Donald J. Trump journeys to Pennsylvania to extol the monumental partnership he orchestrated between U.S. Steel and Nippon Steel. This $14 billion collaboration is projected to generate at least 70,000 jobs while securing American steel production for the foreseeable future.

This groundbreaking agreement is just one part of a larger trend, as various companies across multiple sectors increasingly bring production back to U.S. shores, aligning with President Trump’s unwavering America First trade policies.

Consider the automotive industry:

  • Stellantis announced a $5 billion investment to revitalize its U.S. manufacturing, including reopening the Belvidere, Illinois plant and establishing a $388 million “megahub” in Detroit, Michigan.
  • General Motors announced an $888 million infusion into its propulsion plant in Tonawanda, New York.
  • Volkswagen is planning a significant investment to enhance its U.S. production capabilities.
  • Toyota announced an increase in hybrid vehicle production at its West Virginia facility.
