Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Surge on Wednesday

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) started the day strong, opening at $80,900.77, up 1.3% from the previous day. The cryptocurrency continued to climb, crossing the $82,000 mark in early trading. Ethereum (ETH-USD) also saw gains, opening at $2,360.65, a 0.6% increase from Tuesday. By 7:03 a.m. ET, Ethereum was valued at $2,412.01.

Bitcoin reached a high of $82,305.01, the highest level since January 31, while Ethereum hit $2,412.01, the highest value since April 27. Investors are showing a greater appetite for risk this week, driven by hopes of peace talks in Iran, AI advancements, and anticipation of forthcoming crypto legislation that could bring clarity and structure to U.S. traders.

Over the past five days, Bitcoin has risen by 5.4%, and Ethereum has gained 5.61%. The positive momentum in the cryptocurrency market is reflected in the rising prices of both Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Bitcoin’s opening price showed a 1.3% increase compared to the previous day. Looking back, here’s how Bitcoin’s opening price has changed over the past week, month, and year:

– One week ago: +6%
– One month ago: +17.3%
– One year ago: -14.6%

The all-time high for Bitcoin was $126,198.07 on Oct. 6, 2025, while the all-time low was $0.04865 on July 14, 2010.

Ethereum’s opening price was 0.6% higher than the day before. Here’s how Ethereum’s opening price has changed over different periods:

– One week ago: +3.1%
– One month ago: +11.9%
– One year ago: +29.7%

The all-time high for Ethereum was $4,953.73 on Aug. 24, 2025, and the all-time low was $0.4209 on Oct. 21, 2015.
