The recent episode of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34 semifinals, dedicated to the legendary artist Prince, garnered a remarkable 7.22 million total viewers, marking a season high. The show also achieved a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, showcasing its popularity among a wide audience demographic.

This particular episode, which aired on November 18, stands out as the most-watched semifinals episode in seven years, with a significant increase of 28% in viewers compared to the previous season’s penultimate episode. The adult rating nearly doubled from the previous year, with this season’s episode being acclaimed as the best penultimate telecast in nine years.

The interest in the show has surged among younger viewers as well, with a notable 1.68 rating among adults 18-34, the highest in the younger demographic in a decade. Fan engagement has also soared, with a record-breaking 55.9 million votes cast during this episode.

Adding to the excitement, actor Zac Efron made his debut in the audience to support his brother, Dylan Efron, who advanced to the finale alongside partner Daniella Karagach. The other couples moving forward to the finale include Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, and Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sousa.

The grand finale of “Dancing With the Stars,” produced by BBC Studios, is set to air on Tuesday, November 25. In a first-time format, the final five couples will each perform three dances, including a judges’ choice dance, an instant dance, and a freestyle routine.

Since its premiere in September, this season of “DWTS” has seen significant success, with a notable increase in ratings and viewer engagement. The show kicked off with the biggest premiere in five years, experiencing a 49% ratings surge from the previous year. Viewer voting has also seen a substantial uptick, with a remarkable 163% increase compared to the last season’s premiere episode.

Don’t miss the thrilling finale of “Dancing With the Stars,” airing on Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+ at 8 p.m. ET, with streaming available the following day on Hulu.
