A plethora of music and entertainment items have been meticulously organized and priced in preparation for the upcoming Regent Music Sale extravaganza.

Event coordinator Mark Burrows revealed that tens of thousands of music-related treasures, such as CDs, vinyl albums and singles, DVDs, sheet music, music books, and even some stereo equipment, will be available for purchase at the sale scheduled for next Saturday, July 26, from 10am to 6pm on the iconic Regent Theatre stage.

This year’s donations have brought forth some remarkable and unique finds, including a pristine collection of New Zealand and Dunedin music vinyl albums, as well as rare mini-78 singles dating back to 1925, according to Mr. Burrows.

“I believe these items will generate a lot of interest,” he remarked.

“The quality of the New Zealand vinyl is simply outstanding, so we are setting up a special display for them.”

In an unexpected turn of events, a considerable amount of music on cassette tapes has been donated, reflecting a resurgence in the format’s popularity.

“Furthermore, we have received a substantial number of talking books on cassette.”

The DVDs up for grabs encompass a wide range of music, movies, and documentaries, with a notable inclusion of an extensive collection of box-set classical operas.

“There truly is something for everyone at the music sale, so we anticipate a great turnout of bargain hunters,” Mr. Burrows added.

Another sought-after category at the Regent Music Sale is sheet music, with a vast selection available for purchase.

“Sheet music is always in high demand, and luckily, we have an abundance to offer,” he noted.

The majority of items at the sale will be priced at $1 or $2, while more valuable pieces will have individual price tags.

Mr. Burrows emphasized that the Regent Music Sale draws a diverse crowd of music enthusiasts, providing an opportunity for visitors to explore the musical treasures on display on the Regent Theatre stage.

Special arrangements can be made for attendees with disabilities.
