President Trump’s Executive Order on Artificial Intelligence
WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Trump’s recent Artificial Intelligence (AI) Executive Order underscores the Administration’s commitment to maintaining America’s leadership in AI technology innovation. The Order mandates the development of an AI Action Plan to uphold and strengthen America’s global AI supremacy. Today, the public is invited to contribute their policy suggestions for the AI Action Plan by participating in a Request for Information (RFI), accessible on the Federal Register’s website until March 15.
“The Trump Administration is dedicated to securing the United States as the premier leader in AI technology. This AI Action Plan is a crucial first step in solidifying and advancing American AI dominance, and we eagerly anticipate incorporating the public’s feedback and inventive proposals,” stated Lynne Parker, Principal Deputy Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).
The AI Action Plan will outline key policy initiatives to bolster America’s standing as an AI powerhouse and prevent overly restrictive regulations from impeding private sector innovation. Through effective governmental policies, sustained U.S. leadership in AI will foster societal progress, economic competitiveness, and national security.
The current RFI issued by OSTP solicits input from various stakeholders, including academia, industry associations, private sector entities, state and local governments, and others on the recommended actions to be included in the AI Action Plan.
Feedback can be submitted online and will be accepted until 11:59PM on March 15, 2025.
