Randy Couture is on the road to recovery as he has been discharged from the hospital following a recent crash. According to TMZ Sports, he is now at home recuperating.
The UFC legend suffered serious injuries after a car accident during practice runs at a racetrack in Kansas City. He had to be airlifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Reports indicate that Couture sustained first and second-degree burns in the accident, along with trauma injuries and smoke inhalation.
Fortunately, on Tuesday, he was able to return home to continue his recovery journey.
Couture had been preparing to participate in NHRA races. He mentioned that engaging in this new venture was a way to ignite his competitive spirit that has been a part of him for most of his life.
The 62-year-old retired Army veteran expressed his excitement about the opportunities ahead despite the uncertainties of his racing future.
While the future of Couture’s racing endeavors remains uncertain, the most important thing is that he is on the path to a full recovery after a harrowing incident.
