A violent robbery took place aboard a Red Line train at the 47th Street station on Thanksgiving morning, leaving a 48-year-old man stabbed. According to Chicago police, the man was sitting on a southbound train around 11:40 a.m. when three individuals approached him and demanded his belongings. One of the suspects brandished a sharp object, sparking a struggle that resulted in the man being stabbed in the back. The offenders then fled the train with the victim’s property.

Paramedics rushed the injured man to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition following the attack. Police reviewed surveillance footage and gathered descriptions of two of the suspects. One was described as a Black male wearing a blue jacket, black mask, and gray sweater, while the other was a Black male donning a tan hoodie, light jeans, and white shoes. The suspects were last seen heading east on 47th Street after exiting the station.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to apprehend those responsible for the violent robbery and stabbing aboard the Red Line train.
