The Redmagic 11 Air has just been announced, promising top-tier gaming performance at a mid-range price. Following the success of last year’s Redmagic 10 Air, Nubia’s gaming sub-brand is taking a slightly different approach with the 11 Air, focusing more on gaming features and performance.
In terms of design, the Redmagic 11 Air maintains a slim profile at 163.82 x 76.54 x 7.85mm and 207g. The device features a gamer aesthetic with a semi-transparent rear cover displaying fake circuit board details. The inclusion of signature 520Hz capacitive shoulder buttons and a Magic Key button for accessing the Game Space gaming UI adds to the gaming experience. Additionally, the phone now includes a physical cooling fan spinning at 24,000 RPM to enhance performance.
Moving on to performance, the Redmagic 11 Air is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering a choice of 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The display has been upgraded to a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, providing a seamless gaming experience.
On the camera front, the device features a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 16MP under-display front camera. The battery capacity has been increased to a massive 7,000mAh, ensuring long gaming sessions without the need for frequent charging. The Redmagic 11 Air also supports 80W fast charging but does not include wireless charging.
The Redmagic 11 Air will be available in Phantom (black) or Prism (white) colors starting from February 11th. The 12GB/256GB model will be priced at £439/$529, while the 16GB/512GB model will cost £529/$629.
Nubia’s Redmagic sub-brand continues to lead the market in gaming-focused smartphones, with the 11 Air offering impressive features at an affordable price point. As other brands like Asus have shifted focus away from gaming phones, Redmagic remains a reliable option for gamers looking for a dedicated gaming device.
