Among the fresh faces joining the series is Katie Leung, best known as Cho Chang from the Harry Potter series. She will portray Lady Araminta Gao, a glamorous, outspoken widow navigating the marriage market with her two daughters. Michelle Mao steps into the role of the stunning Rosamund Li, the eldest daughter eager to capture Benedict’s heart, while Isabella Wei plays her unfortunate younger sister, Posy Li. Additionally, Emma Naomi as Alice Mondrich and Hugh Sachs as Brimsley have both been elevated to series regulars.

“Benedict has often found himself at a crossroads, somewhat aimless yet free, depending on the perspective,” Thompson shared with the streaming platform, commenting on the recent casting news. “He’s now in search of a stronger sense of self. Although his identity has been in question, it hasn’t seemed to trouble him greatly. It’s like being caught between two options. He’s on a journey to discover that.” Brownell echoed this sentiment, stating, “Season three places him in a situation where he is delving into more facets of his personality. He experiences emotions profoundly, and it’s vital for him to embrace his complete self before he chooses to settle down. With such vast desires, we wanted to portray him living life to the fullest before he transitions into a more settled lifestyle. I’m thrilled about the direction he’s heading in for season four.”
