In Memoriam: Honoring the Legacy of Frank Gehry, Martin Parr, and Mel Leipzig

This week, we pay tribute to the lives and works of three influential figures in the art world: a visionary architect, a masterful photographer, and a renowned painter.

Frank Gehry (1929–2025)

Mel Leipzig (1935–2025)

Painter who was the “Chekhov of Trenton”

Known as the “Chekhov of Trenton,” Mel Leipzig’s figurative paintings portrayed the ordinary people of New Jersey in extraordinary ways. His dreamy compositions and intimate depictions of his subjects captured the essence of everyday life with profound depth and emotion.
