REPORT: Minnesota Shooting Suspect Vance Boelter Claims in FBI Letter He Was Secretly Trained by Military — Alleges Gov. Tim Walz Ordered Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s Assassination |

In a shocking turn of events, Vance Boelter, a 57-year-old man accused of a string of political assassinations, has sent a disturbing letter to the FBI, alleging secret military training and claiming that far-left Governor Tim Walz ordered him to kill Senator Amy Klobuchar. This purported act was framed as a means to clear the path for Walz’s own Senate ambitions.

Previously reported by , Boelter’s handwritten “confession letter” directly implicates Governor Walz, addressing it to FBI Director Kash Patel in a manner that raises eyebrows and questions regarding its authenticity.

On Friday, Fox News host Jesse Watters brought this explosive allegation to light during his primetime broadcast, stating, “Today, we’re finding out he wrote a letter to the FBI claiming he was trained by the U.S. military — off the books — and that Tim Walz asked him to kill Amy Klobuchar so he could take her Senate seat.”

The Minnesota Star Tribune was the first to unveil the existence of Boelter’s letter, citing two sources familiar with the ongoing investigation. According to these insiders, the letter—a perplexing one-and-a-half pages long—was discovered in a Buick that Boelter abandoned shortly after allegedly murdering Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, as well as shooting Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.

This letter reportedly elaborates on Boelter’s claims of being involved in a covert military program, asserting that he received instructions from Governor Walz to eliminate Klobuchar and other political figures to facilitate Walz’s rise to the U.S. Senate.

Interestingly, the letter also makes mention of Senator Tina Smith.

The Minnesota Star Tribune further reported:

The letter is the clearest evidence yet of Boelter’s mindset following the targeted violence against Minnesota politicians last week. It is disjointed, one and a half pages long, and difficult to read, according to sources familiar with its contents. The letter includes Boelter’s allegations of off-the-books military training and states that Walz, who is not running for Senate, requested him to kill Klobuchar and others.

When asked for comments regarding the letter, Hennepin County Attorney spokesperson Daniel Borgertpoepping noted that while the office cannot comment on an open investigation, “due to the seriousness of the allegations it contains, we will state only that we have seen no evidence that the allegations regarding Governor Walz are based in fact.”

Governor Walz’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, expressed in a statement on Friday afternoon that “this tragedy continues to be deeply disturbing for all Minnesotans.” He added, “Governor Walz is grateful to law enforcement who apprehended the shooter, and he’s grateful to the prosecutors who will ensure justice is swiftly served.”

In her own statement, Klobuchar remarked, “Boelter is a very dangerous man, and I am deeply grateful that law enforcement got him behind bars before he killed other people.”
