REPORT: Parents of Sam Bankman-Fried Are Trying to Get Trump to Pardon Their Son |

Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, the parents of incarcerated crypto-scammer Sam Bankman-Fried, are attempting to appeal to President Trump for a pardon for their son. This move has sparked controversy and raised eyebrows due to the irony of the situation. Bankman-Fried was accused of utilizing his scam to support Democrats and prevent Republicans, including Donald Trump, from holding office.

According to reports from Breitbart News, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, who are Stanford Law School professors, have engaged in discussions with lawyers and individuals in Trump’s circle in an effort to secure clemency for their son. Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, was convicted on multiple counts of conspiracy and wire fraud and received a 25-year sentence in March. Despite his claims that FTX customers have mostly recovered their losses, he argues that his sentence is excessively harsh.

The attempt to secure a pardon for Bankman-Fried has been met with skepticism and criticism. Many point to his significant contributions to Democratic causes, making it unlikely that Trump would grant him clemency. Twitter users have expressed strong opposition to the idea, highlighting Bankman-Fried’s support for Trump’s political adversaries and questioning the ethics of seeking a pardon from the former president.

Given Bankman-Fried’s history of supporting Trump’s opponents, it seems unlikely that the former president would consider granting him a pardon. The irony of his parents seeking help from a political figure whom their son actively opposed has not gone unnoticed by the public. It is clear that the road to securing a pardon for Sam Bankman-Fried will be fraught with obstacles and opposition.

In conclusion, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried’s efforts to obtain a pardon for their son from President Trump have sparked controversy and skepticism. The irony of seeking help from a political figure whom their son worked against has not gone unnoticed. As the debate unfolds, it remains to be seen whether their appeals will be successful or if Bankman-Fried will serve out his sentence as determined by the court.
