Rhea Seehorn, known for her Emmy-nominated role in “Better Call Saul,” is set to be honored with the “Excellence in Acting Award” at SeriesFest’s 11th season on May 2. The prestigious award will be presented to Seehorn during the festival’s Soirée event, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the world of television.
Seehorn’s talent and dedication to her craft have been evident throughout her career. In addition to her acclaimed role in “Better Call Saul,” she has also starred in and executive produced the independent series “Cooper’s Bar,” which was later picked up by AMC Networks. Her versatility as an actress has been showcased in a variety of projects, including “Veep,” “Whitney,” and the 2019 reboot of “The Twilight Zone.”
SeriesFest co-founders Randi Kleiner and Kaily Smith praised Seehorn for her fearless performances, artistic integrity, and commitment to authentic storytelling. The festival will also showcase the U.S. premiere of the drama series “Sunny Nights,” starring Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden.
Furthermore, SeriesFest’s International Spotlight will shine on Netflix’s Mexican comedy series “Welcome to the Family,” with a screening and conversation featuring series creator/director Mark Alazraki and EP Moy Chiver. The series follows the story of an evicted single mom who conspires with her father’s second wife to cover up his death after learning they have been excluded from his will.
SeriesFest is set to run from April 29 to May 4, providing a platform for emerging talent in the television industry to showcase their work and connect with audiences.
