Rishabh Pant, the talented Indian wicketkeeper-batter, has identified Abhishek Sharma as the most destructive batter ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Pant commended Sharma for his consistency and excellent thought process which has led to his success over the past two years. In a recent interview with Sports Tak’s YouTube channel, Pant expressed his admiration for Sharma’s ability to maintain form and performance in the IPL and other matches.

Abhishek Sharma, currently ranked as the World No. 1 T20I batter, has been in exceptional form, scoring 859 runs in 21 innings at a remarkable strike rate of 193.46, including one century and five half-centuries. The left-hander recently showcased his prowess by scoring 182 runs at a stunning strike rate of 249.31 in a series against New Zealand, setting the stage for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

In addition to praising Abhishek Sharma, Rishabh Pant also highlighted the skills of India’s left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh. Pant described Singh as an unsung hero who deserves more recognition for his hard work and consistent performances. Singh, India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is with 118 scalps in 76 matches, recently delivered a stellar performance against New Zealand, taking his career-best figures of 5/51 in the fifth T20I.

Arshdeep Singh’s dedication and bravery on the field have not gone unnoticed by Pant, who emphasized Singh’s heart and determination in every game he plays. Despite facing challenges in team selections, Singh continues to excel and contribute to India’s success in T20 cricket. With the 2026 T20 World Cup on the horizon, both Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh will be key players to watch as they aim to make a significant impact on the tournament.
