Team Penske has officially announced the extension of its partnership with Discount Tire ahead of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. This renewal solidifies Discount Tire as a primary sponsor for Austin Cindric’s No. 2 Ford and for Ryan Blaney’s No. 12 car in select races. Additionally, the tire and wheel retailer will partner with Joey Logano for one race in 2026 and serve as an associate partner for all three entries throughout the season.
Roger Penske, the team owner, expressed his pride in the longstanding relationship with Discount Tire, which has spanned nearly two decades. He emphasized the shared core values and success achieved together, including multiple championships and a victory in the DAYTONA 500. The partnership is set to continue delivering both on and off the racetrack, with plans for future growth and collaboration.
Michael Zuieback, the executive chairman at Discount Tire, echoed Penske’s sentiments, highlighting the culture of winning and making dreams come true that defines their partnership. Both parties look forward to celebrating more victories on the track and engaging with fans, customers, and employees in meaningful ways.
The Team Penske-Discount Tire alliance has been instrumental in the team’s success in the NASCAR Cup Series, contributing to memorable moments like Cindric’s Daytona 500 win and Blaney’s victories at Martinsville. Since Discount Tire became a major partner in 2010, Team Penske has achieved 38 race wins and 12 titles across NASCAR’s national divisions, with 23 pole positions and over 300 Cup Series starts.
The extension of the partnership also enhances Cindric’s sponsor portfolio, which includes brands like Menards, Keystone Light, Freightliner, and Snap-on. For Logano, Shell-Pennzoil remains a key partner, with Discount Tire joining as a primary sponsor for one race in 2026. Discount Tire’s involvement extends beyond NASCAR to Team Penske’s INDYCAR program as an associate partner.
As Team Penske gears up to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026, the organization plans to mark the milestone across various platforms. Special branding will be featured on race cars, driver suits, and merchandise, with exhibits scheduled at key locations like Charlotte and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Roger Penske reflected on the humble beginnings of Team Penske and the journey to success over the past six decades.
The 2026 season has already seen a strong start for the Roger Penske organization, with Porsche Penske Motorsport winning the 24 Hours of Daytona. As INDYCAR and NASCAR competitions kick off in March and February, respectively, Team Penske and Discount Tire are poised for another season of success on the track.
