Jabari “Baby Uiie” Henley, the son of prominent rap figure and alleged gang leader Eugene “Big U” Henley, has tragically passed away.
TMZ has confirmed through family sources that Jabari was shot to death late on Halloween night. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that officers responded to the intersection of 69th Street and Figueroa Street just after 11 PM, where the victim, a 34-year-old black male, succumbed to his injuries.
According to reports, the victim approached a vehicle and was fatally shot. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Luce Cannon, who is incarcerated with his uncle Big U at the Metropolitan Detention Center, revealed that he received the devastating news first and then spoke to Big U.
Cannon expressed their shared heartbreak over the tragic event, acknowledging the challenges of coping with the loss while being in prison. He emphasized faith in God and their determination to navigate through this difficult time together.
Cannon mentioned that he believes Jabari may have known the perpetrator. However, the LAPD has not confirmed if the shooting was gang-related.
Big U, the alleged former leader of the Rollin’ 60’s Neighborhood Crips gang, is renowned in the music industry for managing artists like Kurupt and the late Nipsey Hussle. Currently incarcerated on a 43-count federal indictment, including charges of racketeering, fraud, extortion, and embezzlement.
In addition to Jabari, Big U is a father to two sons and a daughter.
Rest in peace.
