Roseanne Barr Returns to Podcast with Unrecognizable Look
In 2018, Roseanne Barr was fired from the revival of her hit show Roseanne on ABC after making racist comments about former President Barack Obama’s advisor Valerie Jarrett on Twitter. Barr referred to Jarrett as the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes,” sparking outrage and leading to the cancellation of the show.
Despite claiming that she did not know Jarrett was Black and blaming the sleep aid Ambien for her late-night Twitter post, ABC president condemned her remarks as “abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values.”
Following the cancellation of Roseanne, the show’s cast continued on in a spin-off called The Connors, which enjoyed seven successful seasons before wrapping up in 2025.
Recently, Barr made a return to her podcast after a three-month hiatus, sporting a new and unrecognizable look. She appeared wearing a black shoulder-length bouffant wig and a glittering tiara, holding a cigarette and a handgun-shaped lighter.
During her podcast, Barr expressed her excitement about being back and being able to “discuss the truth, which has been absent since I was absent.” She seemed determined to continue sharing her thoughts and opinions despite the controversies that have surrounded her in the past.
It remains to be seen how Barr’s return to the spotlight will be received by the public and whether she will be able to rebuild her reputation in the entertainment industry.
