Munsey was sent back to the pavilion for 19 runs off 15 deliveries in the fifth over of Scotland’s run chase. The catch came off a short delivery from Shamar Joseph, which Munsey tried to play towards deep backward square leg. Hetmyer dived to his right and completed a one-handed catch, leading to a jubilant celebration among the West Indies players.
The official Star Sports Twitter account shared the video of the catch with the caption: “You CANNOT do that, Shimron Hetmyer!” The West Indies team’s celebration after the catch reflected the significance of the moment.
Earlier in the match, Hetmyer had also made a significant contribution with the bat, scoring a quickfire 64 runs off 36 balls at a strike rate of 177.78. His innings included six sixes and two fours, setting the stage for West Indies’ total of 182/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, Scotland struggled to chase down the target and were bowled out for 147 in 18.5 overs.
