The tragic accident on the set of the film “Rust” that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins shocked the entertainment industry and the world. To shed light on the events of that fateful day, a documentary titled “Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna” has been produced and is set to release on Hulu on March 11.

The documentary aims to provide viewers with an inside look at what transpired on October 21, 2021, when actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that led to the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins. Through interviews with Hutchins’ friend, director Rachel Mason, the documentary delves into the aftermath of the accident and the emotional toll it took on those involved.

“Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna” features public court records, behind-the-scenes footage from the film “Rust,” and access to personal archives and materials belonging to Halyna Hutchins. The documentary is produced by Julee Metz, Kate Barry, Jon Bardi, and Will Cohen for Story Syndicate, as well as Jessica Grimshaw, Nick Shumaker, and Jennifer Sears for Anonymous Content. The trailer for the documentary has been released, giving audiences a glimpse of what to expect when the film premieres on Hulu.
