Samsung has recently announced that it will be introducing Google’s Gemini AI assistant to its Galaxy A smartphones. This move comes after the success of incorporating the Gemini assistant in the Galaxy S25 series, replacing the less popular Bixby assistant.

The update will allow users to access Google’s AI-powered assistant by simply pressing and holding the side button on their Galaxy A smartphones. This enhancement aims to provide users with smarter AI experiences and make the Gemini assistant more accessible.

In a statement on their Newsroom post, Samsung highlighted their commitment to bringing more AI features to a wider audience through their Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G models. The incorporation of Samsung’s AI Select feature allows users to extract information from text and images on the screen, while Read Aloud feature reads out text using Bixby’s voice.

However, the spotlight is on Google’s Gemini assistant, which offers advanced functionalities like Circle to Search. With this new update, users can leverage the power of Gemini with just a simple press of a button, making it more convenient and accessible.

The software update is set to roll out globally to select Galaxy A series models starting from early May. The Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G are expected to be among the first to receive the update, ensuring that users of these latest phones can benefit from the enhanced AI capabilities.

Overall, Samsung’s integration of Google’s Gemini AI assistant in the Galaxy A smartphones signifies a step towards delivering a more seamless and intelligent user experience. With this update, users can look forward to enjoying smarter AI features and enhanced accessibility on their Galaxy A devices.
