The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 has finally arrived, aiming to be the best budget Android tablet on the market. With its predecessor, the Tab A9, being a favorite among users, the Tab A11 has big shoes to fill. Despite looking almost identical to the Tab A9, Samsung has made some significant upgrades while also lowering the price, making it a clear winner in the budget tablet category.

Design & Build:
The design of the Galaxy Tab A11 is virtually the same as the Tab A9, with a compact and stylish build that is highly portable. The tablet comes in two color options – Grey and Silver. It is slightly heavier than its predecessor but still maintains a slim and lightweight profile. The build quality feels premium with a mostly metal construction, although it is not unibody. The tablet is designed to be used in portrait mode like a phone, with stereo speakers placed strategically for a better audio experience.

Screen & Speakers:
The Galaxy Tab A11 features an 8.7-inch LCD screen with a new 90Hz refresh rate, providing a smoother viewing experience. The display offers crisp and colorful images with good peak brightness. The stereo speakers now come with Dolby Atmos support, enhancing the audio quality for an immersive sound experience.

Specs & Performance:
Powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, the Tab A11 offers decent performance for everyday tasks. The tablet comes in different RAM and storage configurations, with the option to expand storage via a MicroSDXC card slot. While the processor may not be the latest, it handles basic tasks efficiently and is suitable for light gaming and multimedia consumption.

Cameras:
The Tab A11 features an 8MP rear camera and an upgraded 5MP front camera. The front camera has been improved for better quality during video calls and selfies, making it more useful for everyday use. The rear camera, while basic, can still capture decent photos in good lighting conditions.

Battery Life & Charging:
The tablet is equipped with a 5100mAh battery that offers decent battery life, lasting around 12 hours in typical usage scenarios. However, the charging speed is a downside, with a maximum of 15W charging, which results in slow charging times. It is recommended to plan ahead when charging the tablet, as a full charge can take a few hours.

Software & Apps:
Running on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface, the Tab A11 offers a clean and user-friendly software experience. Samsung promises seven years of software support for the tablet, ensuring longevity in terms of updates and security patches. The tablet comes with a range of pre-installed apps, including Microsoft apps and popular services like Netflix and Spotify.

Price & Availability:
The Galaxy Tab A11 is priced starting at £149, making it an affordable option for budget-conscious consumers. It is available in different models with varying RAM, storage, and connectivity options. The tablet can be purchased from various retailers in the UK, with sales and discounts making it even more accessible to buyers.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 is a versatile and value-packed tablet that offers a compact design, decent performance, and a range of features at an affordable price. If you are looking for a budget-friendly Android tablet that is portable and reliable, the Tab A11 is definitely worth considering.
