The Sanctum of Solace is one of the intricate puzzles in Crimson Desert, where the Witch of Kindness tasks players with cleansing a series of shrines. This involves similar strategies across the board: locating the Fusion Core and Fusion Reactor and positioning them correctly. The challenge lies in finding these components, often requiring players to overcome waves of enemies, akin to liberating any area in the game.
The Sanctum of Solace also presents a formidable boss encounter with Antumbra’s Staff. Players might choose to defeat the boss first before returning to cleanse the sanctum. We offer guidance to help you succeed in this endeavor.
Crimson Desert: Sanctum of Solace Solution
Upon receiving the quest from the Witch of Kindness to clear the Sanctum of Solace, its location will be marked on your map, adjacent to the “A” in Pailune. If you have already explored the Pailune region, you can utilize nearby fast travel spots to glide down to the Sanctum. Similar to the Sanctum of Absolution, a boss battle with Antumbra’s Staff awaits you here.
In this magic-based boss fight, dodging spells and parrying melee attacks are essential to create opportunities for significant damage. Alternatively, equipping Darkbringer with Ator’s Orb, Shadow Claw, and Crow’s Pursuit and using the R2 button with dodge can also be effective. The fight intensifies as the boss teleports and attacks more aggressively at low health, but with Palmar Pills and nutritious food, you should manage.
While it may not be the most elegant strategy, it proved effective for consistent hits. Defeating the boss rewards you with an Abyss Artifact and a hint for your next challenge. Now, focus on clearing the area and solving the Sanctum of Solace puzzle in Crimson Desert.
After dispatching the boss, revisit the area of your victory and ascend the tall tower. Search for a brick pattern matching the one in the image above. Holding onto it (L2) and using Force Palm will reveal a secret door, leading you to a chest containing the Icewing Plate Boots and a Palmar Pill.
Step 1: Find the Fusion Core
To initiate the Sanctum of Solace puzzle, descend the stairs to a frozen water strip below. Stand on this ice and search the surroundings for a large wall crack.
Proceed through the crack to discover the Fusion Core, barricaded by spears. Approach the spears, aim your grapple, and attach it to the Fusion Core. Pull it through the bars into your Kuku Pot.
Step 2: Locate the Missing Fusion Reactor
Retrace your steps from the Fusion Core area to find a dimly lit section. The Fusion Reactor is located here; grapple it and place it in your Kuku Pot.
Step 3: Restore the Device
Return to the main puzzle area and retrieve the Fusion Core. Find the vacant square slot, align the cube, and use the Force Palm to position it. Next, repair the Fusion Reactor. Look upwards to identify the damaged pillar, then retrieve your Fusion Reactor from the Kuku Pot.
Position the Fusion Reactor stone as shown in the image above. When small leaves whirl around it, it signifies correct placement. Climb onto it, jump, and use Force Palm to insert it!

Rewards for Completing the Sanctum of Solace in Crimson Desert
Besides advancing the Antumbra Order quest in Crimson Desert, completing the Sanctum of Solace rewards you with the Frostwing Plate Boots, if collected. Additionally, you will receive the Blueprint II: Kuku Bismuth Spear for cleansing the Sanctum.
