Cairo, January 3: The golden coffin and royal mask of Tutankhamen, requiring eight men to carry, have made their way from Luxor to the Egyptian Antiquities Museum in Cairo. Mr. Howard Carter and Mr. Lucas oversaw the procession, which was guarded by seven armed guards. The coffin, lid, and mask, all made of pure gold and weighing 7cwt, hold an estimated intrinsic gold value of £40,000.
