The defense team for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is gearing up to present its case in the highly publicized criminal trial, set to commence on Tuesday, following the conclusion of Special Agent Joseph Cerciello’s testimony—marking the end of the prosecution’s case.

As previously detailed, the defense, led by Marc Agnifilo, has claimed it will take just two days to counter the prosecution’s extensive six-week presentation.

However, in a curious twist, they have announced that they will not be calling any witnesses to testify in his defense.

CCTV footage shows Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie as she attempted to leave a ‘freakoff’ sex marathon.

According to the New York Post:

“Before the jury’s arrival on Monday morning, attorney Marc Agnifilo informed the court that Combs’ legal team intends to introduce a variety of trial evidence—previously approved by the prosecution—into the court record.”

This unexpected decision to skip witness testimony stands in stark contrast to last week’s indication that Combs would call at least three witnesses: two employees from Combs Enterprises and a psychological expert.

Agnifilo: On scheduling, we concur with the U.S. proposal, suggesting that closing arguments commence Thursday.
AUSA: Yes, our summary witness will unfortunately extend into tomorrow, and we understand the defense will consist of reading some exhibits into the record.

Should he be convicted, Diddy faces a potential life sentence.

Consequently, closing arguments are anticipated to commence on Thursday.

“The jury is not expected to begin deliberations until Friday at the earliest,” noted Combs’ attorney, Teny Geragos, during discussions with the judge.

Geragos also indicated that both the defense and prosecution plan to allocate a minimum of four hours for their closing arguments.

Before the jury begins deliberating, Judge Arun Subramanian is slated to rule on a second Rule 29 motion, having previously denied the first one. This motion revolves around the defense’s request for a judgment of acquittal, claiming the prosecution’s evidence does not sufficiently support a conviction.

Judge: Tomorrow, we’ll proceed with cross-examination, followed by a long recess for the Rule 29 motion. If denied, the defense must be prepared to present its case. Closings?
Combs’ Geragos: Four hours each, with jury instructions scheduled for Friday.
