The third week of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial wrapped up yesterday (30) with the final testimony from his former assistant, known only as ‘Mia,’ followed by the onset of defense cross-examination. The courtroom was charged with emotion as Mia, testifying under a pseudonym, broke down while recounting her experiences of feeling dominated and exploited by the influential and allegedly menacing music mogul.

Combs stands accused of leveraging his celebrity status and extensive business interests to orchestrate a sex-trafficking and racketeering syndicate.

New York Post reported:

“Mia — continuing her anonymous testimony for a second day — alleged that the founder of Bad Boy Records threatened her job and even her life during a trip to South Africa in October 2015, while he was embroiled in a scandal involving his girlfriend Cassie Ventura. After Ventura discovered his infidelity with a woman named Gina, Combs desperately attempted to reach out to her.”

As Mia described, the threats escalated: he went from threatening her employment to menacing her life. She recalled receiving a barrage of 48 missed calls and numerous texts demanding her immediate attention.

“If you don’t call me now, f–k it all. And I’m going to tell everything,” Combs allegedly messaged Mia on WhatsApp on October 31, 2015. “And don’t ever speak to me again. You have 2 minutes. Forget her [Cassie]. Call my house or never speak to me again. … Let’s go to war.”

AUSA: What else did he threaten you with?
Mia: He said he was firing me, he said I had to leave and fly back. And he threatened to kill me.
AUSA: Ms. Krorram wrote, I need to talk to her, not sure what to do. He needs you to call him now, or you don’t have a job

On another occasion, Diddy’s fury was ignited because Mia was allegedly slow to count over $100,000 in cash.

“You better learn how to walk on water like Jesus, bitch. Get the f–k out of here,” she quoted Combs as having yelled at her during a New Year’s Eve trip in 2010-2011.

After her departure from Combs’ company in 2017, Mia revealed to the jury that she settled for $400,000 but chose not to disclose the sexual assault she endured, stating, “I was going to die with this.”

During cross-examination, Mia stood firmly by her allegations, asserting, “What I said in this courtroom is the truth. I have not lied to anyone at all.”

The Independent reported:

“[Defense lawyer] Brian Steel questioned Mia on whether the abuse she claims to have suffered at Combs’ hands had left her ‘broken’. ‘The sexual abuse was part of the way he ruined me, yes,’ Mia replied.

She testified about her lack of autonomy, feeling the need to seek ‘permission’ for even the simplest activities.

“I had friends, but I was not allowed to see or speak to them. I had to beg to go to my grandma’s funeral,” Mia recounted.

When asked about the paradox of being ‘best friends’ with a man she accused of rape, Mia responded, “Ask my therapist.”

The trial’s cross-examination and redirect by prosecutors will resume on Monday.
