Sean Strickland is preparing to head to Washington DC for the anticipated UFC Freedom 250 card, but there’s a complication.

The middleweight champion has been prohibited from attending the event due to his statements about Donald Trump and Israel. Strickland expressed his dissatisfaction with the ban and clashed with Justin Gaethje in the lead-up to the event.

He shared his frustration on social media, suggesting that the decision to ban him was not made by the UFC but by the US government.

Strickland posted the following on X:

“I talked to hunter yesterday about the white house ban and what I said. He just laughed and we carried on. Regardless of the administration fascist views on speech the UFC is holding the line for the 1st amendment.”

A fan asked Strickland if he would attend the White House. ‘Tarzan’ confirmed he would be in Washington but might only participate in a fan meet and greet, indicating that the Freedom 250 event might not be on his schedule:

“I will be in DC. Isnt there a fan greet? Maybe ill go there”

Check out Sean Strickland’s update below:

Initially, Strickland declined to join or even visit the White House event. However, he reconsidered after securing the middleweight title from Khamzat Chimaev.

‘Tarzan’ aimed to support Alex Pereira in his attempt to become the first UFC three-division champion. ‘Poatan’ is set to face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title, but it appears Strickland might not be able to attend the event.

Hollywood star shares honest take on Sean Strickland’s White House ban

While Sean Strickland criticized the administration for his White House exclusion, Hollywood actor Michael Rapaport believed that ‘Tarzan’s’ previous remarks, not solely concerning Israel, led to the ban.

Strickland has made several controversial comments in the past regarding religion, nationalities, and genders, which Rapaport highlighted on social media.

The actor, while acknowledging his admiration for Strickland’s honesty, pointed out that the White House and UFC could not afford to have someone unpredictable at the event:

“Sean Strickland, I am a fan. I am a fan of yours. I like how honest you are. I like how genuine you are. I like how flawed you are. But the flawed part is why you are not going to the White House. Doesn’t matter that you are a champion; it’s the White House. The White House, the UFC, nobody could afford to have you go down there and possibly say some homophobic, racist, anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish bulls**t.”

The actor further stated:

“It’s because of you. It’s not because you are not entertaining. It’s not because you are not genuine. It’s not because the people don’t love you. It’s because, it’s because of you… Don’t complain, don’t embarrass yourself, take some responsibility. You can’t go to the White House because nobody wants to risk any of the bulls**t that you say. You say racist stuff, you say homophobic stuff, you say anti-Semitic stuff, and you say all kinds of anti-Muslim s**t.”
