Another individual has been charged in relation to the murder and attempted murder of two 18-year-old males during a frantic summer evening on the West Side of Chicago. This incident occurred just hours after six other individuals were shot during a large street gathering that the victims had attended.

On Thursday, Judge Ankur Srivastava ordered the detention of 21-year-old Lorenzo Lancaster from Merrillville, Indiana, on charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery. Previously, in August, 35-year-old Ortez Owens was also charged with the same offenses.

According to the charges, the shooting on August 10 transpired after a large street party held in the 100 block of North Lacrosse Avenue, which was heavily promoted on social media. At approximately 2:48 a.m., gunfire erupted at the event, resulting in six people being shot, including a 22-year-old woman who did not survive.
