A lone demonstrator protesting against the numerous attendees at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service is a Muslim who identifies as a transgender anarchist and has ties to Antifa.

Sumayyah Dawud, a noted solo protester recognized for her demonstrations throughout Arizona, arrived early at Kirk’s memorial on Sunday, where she was seen waving a Palestine flag emblazoned with the Black Lives Matter logo.

Accompanied by a small group outside the funeral, Dawud held a mix of signs, some voicing support for Palestine while others criticized President Trump. One sign even labeled their modest protest group as the “Satanic Society.”

“Go back to Europe, colonizer. This is stolen indigenous land,” Dawud was heard telling a fellow demonstrator, as reported by Fox News Digital.

The small protest group, barely enough to fill a classroom, remained through the conclusion of the memorial service.

They were oddly positioned near members of the Westboro Baptist Church, which is notorious for attending high-profile funerals to criticize homosexuality and Judaism, regardless of the deceased’s affiliations.

Dawud quickly responded to the mourners who objected to the protesters’ blatant disregard for the prominent politicians present.

On Instagram, he noted some of “the most hateful people” observed outside the Charlie Kirk event that morning while sharing photos from their protest location.

Dawud also pointed out the litter left by attendees lining up to enter the venue, using it as an opportunity to highlight “how gluttonous & wasteful ‘America’ is and how unkempt members of the ‘patriotic’ right can be.”

In prior posts, Dawud expressed glee over Kirk’s death, stating he was “praying that he dies” and that the late conservative’s “preferred pronouns” should change to “was/were.”

Identifying as a member of Antifa on his Instagram, he is linked to a group recently designated as “a major terrorist organization” by federal authorities.

In 2024, Dawud was arrested during a pro-Palestine encampment at Arizona State University and was temporarily barred from campus until his charges were dropped in May, as per his Instagram updates.

In 2015, Dawud faced restrictions from her mosque under the stipulation that she either attend in male attire or provide medical proof of being anatomically female, according to a report from the Phoenix New Times.

Having embraced Islam in 2013, Dawud experienced few challenges attending services until complaints by other members arose regarding her praying in the women’s section, according to the source.
