CJ ENM Honors Visionaries at 2026 Visionary Awards Ceremony
Korean entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM recently held its prestigious 2026 Visionary Awards ceremony at the CJ ENM Center in Seoul’s Mapo-gu district. The event celebrated the creative forces behind six successful original IPs that have made a mark on the global stage.
The ceremony recognized visionaries from a diverse range of projects, including the U.S. series “Severance” and Korean productions such as “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” “Boys II Planet,” “Our Unwritten Seoul,” and “Study Group.” Additionally, the Japanese adaptation of “Marry My Husband” was also acknowledged, highlighting CJ ENM’s commitment to international co-productions and collaborations.
Over the years, CJ ENM has honored creators and projects that have brought fresh perspectives and unique storytelling to the entertainment industry. This year’s focus was on the importance of characters in driving the competitiveness of intellectual properties, recognizing the actors, directors, producers, and writers who have breathed life into beloved characters.
The awards ceremony was themed around an “Originality Construction Site,” symbolizing a space for building a House of Inspiration where new stories begin to unfold. The event highlighted creative ambition and originality over commercial success, with honoree Nicholas Weinstock commending CJ ENM’s dedication to bold and innovative storytelling.
Actor Takeru Satoh reflected on the art of character development, emphasizing the importance of creating compelling and memorable roles for audiences. Park Min Young and Lim YoonA also shared their experiences working on their respective projects, underscoring the transformative power of storytelling.
In a video message, CJ Group vice chair Miky Lee highlighted the role of stories in bringing people together, while CJ ENM CEO Yoon Sang-hyun reiterated the company’s commitment to expanding its Onlyone IPs and building a new ecosystem for the global cultural business.
