Shane Gillis has achieved a landmark moment in comedy.

Selling 76,212 tickets for his July 17 performance at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, Gillis has set a new Guinness World Record for the most tickets sold for a solo comedian’s show.

The record-breaking ticket sales were officially verified by Andy Glass, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, who confirmed the achievement to Variety.

As Gillis prepares to perform, he is on the verge of setting another Guinness World Record for the largest audience for a comedian. This record will be based on the confirmed attendance within the stadium. The current record is held by Mario Barth, who drew 67,733 spectators at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on July 12, 2008. Given Gillis’ ticket sales, he is expected to surpass this figure. (Gabriel Iglesias and Jo Koy attempted to break this record in 2025 with a joint performance at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.)

The record for tickets sold is a new category by Guinness World Records, requiring at least 54,000 to be surpassed. Previously, Guinness tracked attendance but did not separate ticket sales as a distinct accomplishment. Naomi Watanabe holds the record for the most tickets sold by a solo female comedian, with 44,356 tickets sold for her performance at Tokyo Dome on February 11, 2026.

This achievement marks a significant moment for Gillis, who hails from Pennsylvania and is often seen in Eagles attire. The stadium show is the largest of his career, concluding a highly successful tour. Gillis recently hosted Netflix’s “Roast of Kevin Hart.”

Over the last two years, Gillis has headlined more than 100 shows, selling over 1 million tickets and setting 34 venue attendance and ticket sales records. At Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, he sold more tickets than any other event in the arena’s history. Additionally, he broke attendance records at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, San Francisco’s Chase Center, and Tucson’s Tucson Arena.
