Rams Star Quentin Lake: Here’s My Advice for Shedeur Sanders!

L.A. Rams star Quentin Lake is offering some valuable advice to Shedeur Sanders, and considering their similar NFL draft experiences, Deion’s son would be wise to take heed.
Quentin, a 26-year-old defensive back, delivered a motivational speech to the Cleveland Browns rookie just before his first professional practice. He emphasized that Sanders, as a late-round pick with a famous father, can achieve success just like he did.
The son of former All-Pro Carnell Lake, Quentin was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Despite this, he went on to become a team captain and one of the best players on his team.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Quentin expressed confidence that Sanders can follow a similar path to success. “All you need is one team to take a chance on you,” he said. “If we were face-to-face, I’d tell him the same thing.”
“You have the opportunity to prove everyone right or wrong, and all you have to do is let your performance speak for itself,” Quentin added. “That’s what you’ve done throughout your entire career.”
Impressed by Sanders’ performance at Jackson State and Colorado, Quentin believes the young quarterback has what it takes to thrive in the NFL. He noted Sanders’ ability to consistently defy the odds and succeed wherever he goes.
While Quentin will be keeping an eye on Sanders during his first workout, he also has his own upcoming commitments. The Rams are heading to Hawaii for a mini-camp next month, but Quentin is planning to host a workout for kids at his high school alma mater, Mater Dei, in July.
Quentin’s journey from a late-round draft pick to a team leader serves as inspiration for Sanders as he embarks on his NFL career. With Quentin’s guidance and support, Shedeur Sanders is poised for success in the league.
