A shirtless man from Florida violently attacked several individuals with a metal shelf during a chaotic altercation at a supermarket in the Miami area last Thursday evening.

The intense confrontation, involving “two large groups of individuals,” escalated from a heated verbal exchange to a physical fight near the entrance of a Publix located at Southwest 163rd Street and Southwest 95th Avenue at approximately 6 p.m., as reported by WPLG, citing police documentation.

Footage reveals two women wrestling each other and colliding into a display for greeting cards, causing one of the shelves to come loose as they fell, according to the local news outlet and social media account OnlyinDade.

Identified as Climont Mann, the shirtless assailant is accused of picking up the large metal shelf and striking the two women on the ground.

Mann seemingly turns away to engage in another altercation but soon returns to the two women on the floor.

One hit appears to connect with a woman’s head.

The 20-year-old continued to strike the two women with the shelf two more times before tossing it aside and jumping into the wider brawl.

Meanwhile, a larger group encircled two additional fighters who were grappling near the cash registers, as seen in the recording.

A multitude of items, including greeting cards, headphones, a loaf of bread, various papers, sandals, and one woman’s wig, were thrown across the floor.

Onlookers gathered at a distance, some watching the chaotic scene unfold, while others nonchalantly walked by, seemingly unfazed by the violence.

One person filming the incident remarked, “Ooh, man, you going to jail.”

Uniformed Publix employees positioned themselves near the registers and employee areas, awaiting police assistance.

The skirmish ultimately spilled outside into the parking lot before law enforcement intervened. All participants in the altercation were banned from the store.

The exact reason behind the melee remains undisclosed by the police.

Two individuals were hospitalized, and several others received on-scene treatment from fire personnel, according to NBC 6 South Florida.

One shopper expressed outrage, stating, “I thought it was horrible. It was a disgrace. Security did not intervene when they should have. It was just an embarrassment and a disgrace.”

The concerned shopper worried that the incident might deter customers from visiting her favorite store.

Mann was charged with felony aggravated battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct, as detailed in court documents accessed by The Post.

The charge of criminal mischief was dismissed during a bond hearing on Friday.

A judge instructed him to avoid contact with the victims, both online and in person.

Mann is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center under a bond of $5,150, according to correctional records.

He is set for arraignment on December 8.
