In a rather startling turn of events, Democrats appear to be signaling that the ongoing “Schumer Shutdown” will persist until, quite literally, planes start falling from the skies.

October 1 at 12:01 AM marked the start of a partial government shutdown, triggered by the Senate’s failure to pass two critical funding measures.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer opted not to support the House’s straightforward, clean, short-term funding bill, which was designed to prevent a government closure.

Rather than collaborating with Republican counterparts to ensure a government funding extension into November, Schumer has instead elected for a shutdown.

Airports nationwide have gone dark as Schumer seems more invested in providing taxpayer-funded healthcare to undocumented immigrants than in resolving the crisis.

Seven separate proposals to fund the government have been defeated in the Senate.

Reports from CNN reveal that the Democrats are prepared to maintain the shutdown for several weeks unless Republicans capitulate to demands for healthcare provisions for undocumented individuals.

“Congressional Democrats are privately ready to hold onto their position throughout this shutdown stalemate for an extended period if Republicans do not meet their healthcare stipulations. Not even the prospect of US troops missing paychecks seems to compel them to budge,” reported CNN.

Furthermore, “A senior Democratic aide indicated that as long as public sentiment remains in their favor, the party is steadfast in their position—right up until ‘planes are falling out of the sky.’” This shocking admission has raised eyebrows, to say the least.

SHOCKING ADMISSION: Democrats literally declare they won’t conclude the government shutdown until “planes [are] falling out of the sky” as a result of air traffic control shortages THEY created.

Meanwhile, Schumer points fingers at Speaker Johnson for the ongoing turmoil.

“Mr. Speaker, hear this: Good residents in your own state will suffer as a result of your choice to keep the House in recess rather than come to the negotiating table with Democrats to end this Trump-induced shutdown. It’s shameful!” Schumer declared publicly this week.
