Sia
Scores Huge Win in Ugly Custody Battle Amid Divorce

Sia got a massive victory in her ongoing divorce battle with her second husband as a judge denied his emergency request for full custody of their son.
Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed that the judge dismissed most of the claims made by Sia’s ex-husband, Daniel Bernad, citing that the information was already known when the temporary custody arrangement was put in place back in August. This arrangement granted Sia primary custody of their child with limited supervised visitation for Daniel.
Daniel had requested an emergency order for sole custody, alleging that Sia posed a danger to their son due to drug use accusations.
Sia’s attorney, Laura Wasser, argued that there was no new evidence to justify a change in custody, highlighting that Daniel’s monitored visitation was due to an LAPD investigation for child pornography that resulted in no charges against him.
Daniel denied any involvement in child pornography and accused Sia of fabricating evidence to limit his time with their child.
Sia stated that she has been sober for over 6 months and has willingly undergone drug testing. She claimed that it was Daniel who refused regular drug tests.
While admitting to past substance abuse, Sia emphasized that her recovery has been a significant part of her life.
Sia condemned Daniel’s attempt to use her past struggles against her, stating that it only aims to distort facts and diminish her credibility.
Sia filed for divorce from Daniel earlier this year, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking legal and physical custody of their child, with visitation rights for Daniel.
Additionally, Daniel has been requesting spousal support from Sia, with recent claims seeking over $250,000 per month.
This marks Sia’s second divorce, following her previous split from Erik Lang in 2016 after a brief marriage.
