Three surf lifeguards embarked on a daring mission, utilizing an IRB and rescue board to reach the injured person at Moki Point near Taylors Mistake beach. Working in tandem with a paramedic who had been airlifted to the scene, they successfully transported the individual, who had suffered severe trauma-related injuries, to the helicopter for evacuation.
