Top-ranked player Jannik Sinner breezed through to the second round of Wimbledon amidst a day filled with unexpected upsets. One of the biggest surprises came when American second seed Coco Gauff was defeated by Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska in straight sets. The day also saw several seeded players, including men’s third seed Alexander Zverev and women’s third seed Jessica Pegula, crashing out of the tournament.

Despite the upsets, Serbian sixth seed Novak Djokovic managed to secure a win after a grueling match against France’s Alexandre Muller. Italian seventh seed Lorenzo Musetti and German third seed Alexander Zverev were among the casualties on a day that saw multiple top players bowing out early.

On the women’s side, defending champion Barbora Krejcikova faced a tough challenge but ultimately triumphed over Alexandra Eala. American teenager Victoria Mboko pulled off a major upset by defeating the 25th seed Magdalena Frech.

As the tournament progresses, fans can expect more exciting matches and surprises on the grass courts of Wimbledon. Stay tuned for more updates on this year’s action-packed tournament.
